Job Description

  • Perform routine preventative maintenance and adjustments to a variety of medium/heavy duty trucks.

  • Troubleshoot and diagnose various vehicle systems and components, including aftertreatment systems, drive trains, air conditioning, vehicle electrical systems and truck air brake systems.

  • Auxiliary equipment such as hydraulic liftgate, and truck and trailer mounted refrigeration units. 

  • Installation of GPS and cab camera equipment.

  • Perform various safety and state annual vehicle inspections.

  • Communicate detailed repair status and vehicle uptime status.

  • Parts selection including ordering and stock status of inventory

  • The proper use and maintenance of shop tools and equipment in accordance with DOT, EPA and OSHA guidelines.

  • Road test and perform routine pickup and delivery of vehicles.

  • In-Service procedures of newly acquired vehicles.

  • In-House and Manufacturer’s sponsored training programs.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Prior diesel vehicle maintenance experience preferred but will work with individuals with strong mechanical aptitude.

  • Candidate should have good working knowledge of basic computer skills.

  • Commercial Driver’s License and ASE certifications preferred but will train right candidate.

  • Acceptable prior work history and driving record.

  • Self-motivated individual and ability to work in a fast-paced environment,

  • Work in a professional manner and appropriately interact with customers and other associates.

  • DOT pre-employment physical and drug screen required.

  • Candidate will possess a positive attitude, take pride in performing quality work, and maintain a “do what has to be done” attitude.

  • Wage scales range from $22 - $32 per hours based upon skill level and relevant experience of candidate.
